This blog focuses on the Old Firm football clubs of Celtic and Rangers. These two Glasgow-based clubs are among the best supported football teams in the world. The rationale of this blog is to provide:
1. up-to-date news for fans
2. details of each season's matches 2012/13 onwards
3. an excellent history of Old Firm matches and players.
The blog is written in an impartial manner and is not intended to favour either club.

Transfer News
Andreus Velicka has left Rangers to join Bristol City on loan for the entire season. Bristol City, who play in the Championship, acquired Paul Hartley from Celtic in June.
Paul Hartley, like Willo Flood, was under-utilised at Celtic. I see he made an impact at Bristol City, scoring a goal that was disallowed wrongly for offside, but at least they had the last laugh with the goal that definitely was, being chalked off! Now Velicka at Bristol, how many other examples are there of ex old firm opponents playing alongside each other in English teams? Come on statto, try that one!
